For all Bristol students (Engineering or other!), we run an inspiring lecture series and exciting competitions, alongside other events, to deepening their understanding of the field.

Spotlight Lecture Series

Each year we hold a series of talks to inspire students and to help them gain an insight into different areas of Engineering and hear from industry professionals.

The theme for 2022/2023 is yet to be revealed but get ready to hear some inspiring talks about creative and unusual Engineering projects!

Solve the Rainforest

Take part in this yearly competition to put your Engineering Skills to practice! Teams of students develop innovative ideas to solve some of the biggest challenges facing earth today! Last year we ran the highly successful 'Solve the Ocean', where teams of students delivered a presentation and created a prototype, exploring their ideas on how we could clear up the sea of plastic floating in our oceans.

This year the competition theme is 'Rainforests'. Follow our social media to keep up to date on the event and be sure not to miss it!

Eden Project Trip

Yearly trips to the Eden Project allow EWB Bristol members to get stuck in solving some practical Engineering problems whilst bonding with the rest of the society!

This project is currently on hold due to COVID-19 but we hope to resume this or something similar soon!
